Gartec HomeLift AHL (Belgravia, London)
A short distance from Knightsbridge and Sloane Square, this property required a home lift to travel four floors from the basement to the second floor. The key requirements included travel for convenience between floors and for light to flow through the property on each level. A Gartec HomeLift (AHL) was an obvious choice for the Architect having seen a similar installation Gartec had completed, where a roof light had been installed above the lift. The client decided to the same allowing light to flood through down the stairwell through to the basement via the lift as it was installed with bespoke glazed panels to three sides, filling each floor with light and illumination.
Gartec worked closely with the Architect and Interior Designer together to implement the Gartec HomeLift, following the client’s research into various lifts and providers, the client felt we were one of the best to deal with having years of experience, friendly and professional. Gartec provided advice and recommendations at the beginning of the project on the design style, the sizes that would work within this project and what that would offer to the project in terms of carrying capacity, accessibility and futureproofing, after looking at all the options with Gartec, it was decided that the Gartec HomeLift offered the most benefits in terms of aesthetics and function to this project, with minimal building or structural work and could be customised to fit the range of finishes previously selected.
