Supporting Dementia UK and Admiral Nurses
We are proud to be supporting Dementia UK in its vital work helping families affected by dementia. By raising funds for Dementia UK, we can make a real difference to thousands of lives.
Dementia UK provides specialist dementia support for families through its Admiral Nurses. As experts in the condition, their tailored, life-changing support helps families through the fear and confusion of dementia. From sharing practical tips for caring to offering compassionate emotional support and helping plan for the future, they are a lifeline for families across the UK.
Your Impact in Numbers
Your donations will help fund more Admiral Nurses in communities, hospitals and hospices, as well as on Dementia UK’s Helpline and in virtual clinic appointments. This means more families will have someone to turn to when they need it most.
- £25 could pay for a carer to receive an hour of one-to-one support from a specialist Admiral Nurse on Dementia UK’s free Helpline
- £66 could fund a new Admiral Nurse to spend two hours supporting families in the community, offering practical solutions and emotional support
- £135 could pay for an Admiral Nurse to answer calls for an evening on Dementia UK’s Helpline, when other sources of support have closed for the night
- £279 could pay for an Admiral Nurse to answer Helpline calls on a Sunday, when families have nowhere else to turn
- £1,000 could fund an Admiral Nurse to run four full days of face-to-face appointments, providing life-changing support for multiple families

The Disability Confident Scheme
We are proud to be a Disability Confident Employer, officially recognised as part of the UK government’s national Disability Confident scheme. This accreditation reflects our commitment to breaking down barriers and creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can work comfortably.
The Disability Confident scheme supports businesses in recruiting, retaining, and developing disabled people and those with long-term health conditions. As a participant, we actively challenge attitudes towards disability, promote equal opportunities, and build practices that make a tangible difference for both candidates and employees.
Join the Movement
We encourage other businesses to join the Disability Confident scheme and see the benefits for themselves. The scheme offers clear guidance and recognition at every step.

Gartec’s Partnership with the National Paralympic Heritage Trust (NPHT)
We are proud to announce this collaboration with the National Paralympic Heritage Trust (NPHT), which underscores our commitment to inclusivity in our products and within our own workplace. The NPHT is dedicated to preserving and sharing the history of the British Paralympic movement, inspiring future generations with stories of determination, courage, and equality.
About Our DICE Club Membership
As part of this partnership, Gartec has joined the NPHT’s DICE Club – an initiative built around the four Paralympic virtues: determination, inspiration, courage, and equality. DICE Club encourages businesses to embrace these values and work towards greater inclusivity, particularly through the government’s Disability Confident Scheme.
Impact of the Partnership and Future Goals
The broader aim of this partnership is to encourage businesses to take concrete steps towards inclusivity, particularly by participating in the Disability Confident Scheme. By fostering a culture that values determination, inspiration, courage, and equality, we believe that businesses can collectively create more opportunities and support for disabled people.
We encourage other businesses to join this initiative, as the impact is amplified when more organisations commit to these principles. Companies interested in making a difference can learn more and get involved through Buckinghamshire Business First.
How You Can Make a Difference
By signing up for the Disability Confident Scheme through this campaign, businesses commit to fostering a disability-friendly workplace and unlock a complimentary year’s membership in the DICE Club. Membership offers valuable resources including networking opportunities with Paralympians, educational workshops, and visibility for your business as a DICE Club Champion.
This limited-time offer coincides with the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris and celebrates Buckinghamshire’s unique role as the Birthplace of the Paralympics. The offer is available until September 8th, 2024, or until the first 24 businesses have registered. To take advantage of this opportunity, express your interest in the Disability Confident Scheme here and join Gartec and other local leaders in promoting workplace inclusivity.
