A Platform Stairlift Built Around Your Staircase
The PLG7 handles straight staircases, while the PLK8 is designed for curved and more complex routes. It can follow changes in direction and elevation, travel around intermediate landings, and serve multiple levels, with stops and parking positions planned around the staircase.
Both models can be mounted directly to a suitable wall or supported by steel stanchions, giving greater flexibility where wall mounting isn’t appropriate.*

Space-Saving Access When You Need It
When the lift isn’t needed, the platform folds automatically against the staircase, leaving more room for people using the stairs on foot.
Integrated ramps provide wheelchair access to the platform, while an anti-slip surface supports secure entry and exit. Optional front access gives more flexibility where the landing space or staircase layout makes side access less suitable.

Safety Built Into Everyday Operation
Safety features work around the user throughout the journey. Automatic safety arms secure the platform during travel, while contacts on all sides can detect obstructions. The platform also has an anti-slip surface, alongside accessible emergency stop and emergency call controls.
The 24V battery drive keeps the lift operational during a power cut. Fault and event recording provides useful diagnostic information for servicing, while battery protection shuts the system down after an extended period without charging.

Internal and External Platform Stairlifts
The Ascendor PLG7 & PLK8 can be installed both internally and externally, making them suitable for a wide range of accessibility requirements.ย
- In the home, they can provide wheelchair access between different levels while following the existing staircase.ย
- For public and commercial buildings, they offer a complete way to improve access where stairs present a barrier.
For external installations, the Ascendor has an IP54 protection class, which means its internal components remain protected against water splashes from all directions. This allows the lift to be used outdoors, providing an option for external steps and staircases as well as internal routes.
With straight and curved configurations available, the system can be planned around the staircase and setting.

Accessibility equipment doesn’t have to look out of place. The Ascendor offers a choice of colours, finishes, and optional details to help it sit comfortably within its surroundings.
